About

The Pudsey Wellbeing Charity was founded in 2013 under the name “Love Pudsey”. The idea for the charity originally came from the partners at Robin Lane Health and Wellbeing Centre who purchased a derelict building on the same site as the medical centre. They wanted to create a space for the Pudsey Wellbeing Charity to run groups and activities for the local community.

The partners then recruited trustees with a variety of expertise and experience to help them fulfil their vision, many of whom are still on the board today! Volunteers then joined the team and brought with them a whole host of ideas for free groups which could run in the charity building.

Many of the volunteers who originally helped to set up the charity are still volunteering today and many of the original groups are still running alongside newer groups which have been created over the years.

  1. To support wellbeing, both mental and physical, by creating a social hub and network based in the heart of Pudsey.
  2. To provide a range of facilities for recreation activities or other leisure time occupation for the benefit of the inhabitants of Pudsey and the surrounding areas.
  3. To improve quality of life for the community with particular focus on the socially isolated and others who may have specific needs on account of age, disability, social or economic circumstances.

Sophie Reynolds & Rachel Bradley make up our team of Charity Co-ordinators helping to run the day-to-day duties.

All of our activities are run by volunteers, including our welcome space. We have a team of over 40 volunteers working together to make Pudsey Wellbeing Charity what it is today.

We have a valuable team of volunteers that make up our trustee board. Without our trustees, the charity wouldn’t exist!
