Pudsey Wellbeing Charity was founded in 2013 under the name “Love Pudsey”, the idea for the charity came from the partners at Robin Lane Health and Wellbeing Centre who purchased a derelict building on the same site at the medical centre to create a space for Pudsey Wellbeing Charity to run groups and activities for the local community. The partners then recruited trustees with a variety of expertise and experience to help them fulfil their vision, many of whom are still on the board today! Volunteers then joined the team and brought with them a whole host of ideas for free groups which could run in the charity building. Many of the volunteers who originally helped to set up the charity are still volunteering today and many of the original groups are still running alongside newer groups which have been created over the years. The charity has just two members of staff, a Charity Manager and Volunteer Coordinator everybody else who gives their time for the charity does so on a voluntary basis. We now have 21 groups running in the building and over 50 volunteers who runs the groups and our volunteer reception!
