Remembrance Walk November 2020

So many things are different this year and as we start our second lockdown it is more important than ever to try to stay positive and look after our health both physically and mentally! Sadly Pudsey will not be able to hold the traditional remembrance gathering at the cenotaph on the Remembrance Sunday this year. However the people of Pudsey will not let COVID win! Driving through Pudsey it is clear to see that many people have put in a lot of effort to make sure that the fallen are still remembered this year. From the incredible sea of poppies at Pudsey Parish Church to the beautiful hand made poppies adorning Greenside School, Pudsey has found new ways to express its gratitude!

Here at Pudsey Wellbeing Charity we wanted to add something to the collective effort and decided to create a Remembrance Walk around Pudsey. The walk is around 1 mile long and focuses on landmarks connected to WW1 and WW2 in the centre of Pudsey. The walk can be done at any time in November (or later if you wish!)

We wouldn’t have been able to create the walk without Damon Sugden who provided us with all the historical information and we want to say a huge thank you to Damon for his help!

We hope that you enjoy the walk and we would love it if you could get in touch with your feedback!
